Samsung 2ON Mobile: Dual Mode Handset – GSM + CDMA
I just found this news on a technology blog I surf. It’s certainly an innovative product from Samsung.
This is really exciting. A mobile phone in which you can have both GSM and CDMA connections that too simultaneously. Wow! With this you surely can have maximum pan India network coverage as you have access to both GSM as well as CDMA networks. What’s more it supports the Value Added Services of both Reliance InfoComm as well as Tata Indicom. This also implies that it should be compatible with Virgin Mobile (as it is based on Tata Indicom).
I recently had enquired about Virgin Mobile but, was disappointed because I had to buy a new handset. I’ll definately want to get my hands on this but, I’d like some reviews before I do so.

Since it has bluetooth, it has support for the Handsfree.
However, it seems there is NO FM as Samsung’s Product website doesn’t have any info about it.

Phone looks good, but from the begining i am facing problem 1. When i swich off and switch on it is hanging and its not at all starting and battery bak up is very low. 2 . you have to full charged everday i.e battery charge is only one day backup.
With in one month i visited twice samsung service and no response . Problem is not solved yet. Aprox In one month i used this phone 15 days. Half of the month is with service centre only.

i have seen the phone in a Tata Indicom True value hub in City Center Salt Lake. Its FULLY LOADED. Both the SIMs work together and the representative showed me that. When a call comes to the GSM number it shows GSM(calling number) and when a call comes to the CDMA number it shows CDMA(calling number).You can also place a call ON HOLD for the GSM while talking to the CDMA Number and vice versa. Also while making a call it gives you a option of using either the CDMA or GSM connection.Alos where the network columns are displayed(left hand top column) it shows CDMA(number of network bars) GSM(number of network bars).Also i liked it very much. and my budget is 7000 suggest me mobiles better if its samsung company.
A similar set is available with Samsung Model-SCH-W339 that is also DUO (CDMA & GSM). As per the specs on the Samsung website, either we can use 1 GSM + 1 CDMA or 2 CDMA or 2 GSM numbers on that phone. However, for this Samsung 2ON Mobile (model- SCH-W619) it is not clear whether two CDMA or two GSM numbers can be used. I am looking for some good brand (Nokia, Motoroal, LG, Samsung, etc) mobile set that supports two GSM and two CDMA numbers. The reason for my business work, I need to carry four numbers (2 GSM – Airtel & Idea AND 2 CDMA – Reliance & Virgin nos). Can anyone suggest me if this Samsung 2ON Mobile (model- SCH-W619) support this feature like Samsung Model-SCH-W339. Any help would be highly appreciated.

is there anyone whos planning to get new samsung2on,if so then plz dont get it .it is not worth enough to buy it at such high cost.i recently bought it of 14450 frm meerut and sold it at 8000 after 20days it is full of problems.first u cannot surf on the mobile if uare using reliance sim iwas tired running from reliance to samsung service for it but no use.u can surf only on cdma and not on gsm.its acdma gsm phone.it does not support many sites as u cannot open railways and banking sites.u will start sweating if u to try to use its bluetooth because its very complicated and inefficient.music is of inferior quality when compared to n73.u cannot switchover to next song through headset.no flash ,no cover for camera[2mp] only.very little internal memory to support even basic functions.menu is not user friendly.its not even a 3g phone.14500 only for touch screen and dual sim if u think still its worth then ,god may help u.

I have purchased Samsung 2 ON.Good mobile but not able to use with Samsung Studio 5.Driver not getting it installed.No FM.II have been informed by Caller my phone is switched off at time but actually it is on?Requires software which I belive to be developed by Samsung.
dont by this mobile it contains battary problem and network problems and set is hanging.
How Much You Expecting For This Handset ????
Well let me tell you the merits and demerits.
Demerits:
1. Could be possible it has low battery backup, but dont you think that its a dual sim with bluetooth and even touchscreen. obviously it will consume more battery power but i believe everyone is in habbit of charging his mobile after 2-3 days.
2. Regarding the hangging problem let me tell you that its only with few people ,even with nokia phones people used to say that they hang a lot but if the cellphone is handeled propely and the computer on which you are connecting i assure you will not face any problem. and you know its samsung.
Merits:-
1. Dual sim, touch screen, bluetooth with A2DP and the best part is cdma modem, who the hell surf internet with gprs. In india no one use gprs for internet surfing coz its damm slow, and when it comes to Tata indicom it really has made a separate class for internet.
2. Samsung really do not reduce prices for its products but if by any chance it will happen then its sure that in future this is the only cellphone which will be updated and will be the best among all.

No idea Neeraj, I haven’t personally used the phone.
Finally, checked the cellphone in my hand.
Positive feedback,
-Shortcuts for everything likr bluetooth, change of sim cards etc.
-Easy to use menu, very simple functions.
-CDMA modem.
Negative feedback
-No A2DP.
-Camera not so good.
-Touchscreen is not so fine as it should be.
-Slow processing.
Well if this cellphone has strong positive things then only someone can think to spend such a huge money but now, instead of strong postive points, it has strong negative points due to which this phone even after a unique phone because of its features would not be able to cope up in the competetion with other cellphones.
Anyone who can compromise with the drawbacks of this cellphone can purchase it. Otherwise people lets wait for nokia’s turn and also for others.
I believe in the next coming months definitely we will be having a dual sim cellphone which is superb among all.
Rest i would suggest to purchase a cheap cdma handset and a cheap gsm handset rather than go for this costlier cellphone.
